INTRODUCE YOUR PUPILS TO THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF THEATRE IN THESE UNIQUE SHADOW PUPPETRY WORKSHOPS…
As part of THE LION KING’s partnership with the Tunbridge Wells Puppetry Festival, the award-winning musical is offering a limited number of primary schools the opportunity to take part in a unique shadow puppetry workshop. Led by Disney’s specially trained teaching artists, pupils will:
- Explore the story and themes of THE LION KING
- Learn how different types of puppetry are used to tell the story in the show
- Create their own shadow puppets and devise stories
Each session will run for 2 hours and is available for up to thirty KS2 pupils. Schools will need to provide a suitable area where practical craft work can take place. As part of the experience, puppet making materials, performance screen and lights will be provided.
Workshops are available from 11 – 13 October 2017 with morning and afternoon sessions available. A fee of £50 will be charged by TWPF to cover administration costs. Spaces are very limited, for more information email: firstname.lastname@example.org
